On March 16, 2026, executives from Maejo University International College (MJU-IC) participated in a meeting to discuss academic cooperation with Guilin Tourism University at Room 2220, Lvsi Building, in the People’s Republic of China.
The Maejo University delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Winitra Leelapattana, Associate Deans of the International College, and Dr. Suthira Sitthikun, Associate Deans of the International College. They met with the administrators of Guilin Tourism University, led by Prof. Dr. Lin Chunyi, President of the university.
The meeting was also attended by executives and faculty members from both institutions, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chen Bangyu, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department; Prof. Dr. Gao Yuanheng, Dean of the School of Tourism Management; and Prof. Dr. Tang Ying, Dean of the School of Hospitality Management.
The meeting aimed to exchange ideas on educational management, expand academic collaboration, and discuss the development of tourism and hospitality programs, as well as to further strengthen the partnership between the two universities.
During the visit, the executives from Maejo University International College also toured the university’s facilities and learning environment at Guilin Tourism University.
This meeting represents another important step in promoting educational cooperation between Maejo University and Guilin Tourism University, creating greater international learning opportunities and cultural exchange for students and staff of both institutions.
