Associate Professor Dr. Siriporn Kiratikarnkul from the International College was honored to serve as a keynote speaker at the forum titled “Upgrading Community Coffee Businesses toward the Digital Economy and Future Food.” The event was held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
The forum aimed to promote and enhance the potential of community-level coffee entrepreneurs, enabling them to adapt and remain competitive in the digital economy era.
During the event, knowledge and experiences were exchanged on the application of digital technologies in the coffee business—from production and processing to online marketing—in order to add value to community coffee products. In addition, the concept of “Future Food” was presented, highlighting emerging food trends that emphasize innovation, sustainability, and consumer health.
Participants included coffee entrepreneurs, farmers, academics, and members of the general public, all of whom showed strong interest and actively engaged in discussions. Emphasis was placed on the importance of building collaborative networks to support the sustainable growth of community coffee businesses.
This event marks another significant step in driving grassroots economic development by integrating technological knowledge, food innovation, and local wisdom to elevate Thai coffee to the global market in the future.
