Maejo University Strengthens International Collaboration at IRO Networking Day 2026
From 31 March to 1 April 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Winitra Leelapattana, Associate Dean of the International College, represented the President of Maejo University at the workshop “IRO Networking Day: Now. Next. New. – Future-Ready IROs” held at Siam@Siam Hotel Pattaya.
Organized by the International Mission Committee under the Council of University Presidents of Thailand, the event brought together 105 executives and international relations officers from higher education institutions across Thailand.
This IRO Networking event featured a keynote address by Associate Professor Dr.Rattachat Mongkolnavin,Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, alongside a high-level policy dialogue on aligning national goals for internationalization and strengthening Thailand’s Internationalization Network (IZN).
The program included interactive workshops under three key themes:
• NOW – Strengthening the Foundations
• NEXT – Behavior, Process & Professional Maturity
• NEW – The Evolving Role of IROs
Participants also engaged in collaborative project presentations and shared key learnings, culminating in the plenary session “Transformative IROs: New IZN Chapter of Thai Higher Education in a Rapid Changing World.”
In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Winitra Leelapattana also attended the International Mission Committee meeting under the Council of University Presidents of Thailand for the 2025–2026 term (Meeting No. 1/2569), further strengthening Maejo University’s engagement in national-level policy and internationalization strategies.
