The 7th International Joint Graduate Seminar (IJGS)
A Global Forum in Animal and Agricultural Sciences
Maejo University, in collaboration with Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, just held the 7th International Joint Graduate Seminar (IJGS). Maejo University and Universitas Gadjah Mada served as the hosts of this event, held on April 27, 2026, at Maejo University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. This event was held simultaneously with the Joint International Innovation & Applied Solution Competition 2026 (MJU–NIU).
The conference featured an official opening ceremony, honored by senior administrators from both institutions, with opening speeches and welcoming words to all the attendees.
First, Associate Prof. Dr. Rapeephun Dangtungee, Dean, International College, Maejo University, gave a few introductory remarks about this conference. He was followed by Prof. Dr. Budi Guntoro, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Universitas Gadjah Mada, who made general remarks about this annual event.
The ceremony formally began when Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President, Maejo University, delivered his characteristically warm and encouraging opening remarks.
The opening ceremony concluded with a group photograph session.
This important event provided an international platform for graduate students, both Master’s and Doctoral candidates, to present their research, exchange ideas with their peers, and build academic networks in the fields of animal and agricultural science.

International College, Maejo University Strengthens Global Partnership through MOU Signing Ceremony with ECHO Asia Impact Center
The International College, Maejo University, organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony in collaboration with ECHO Asia Impact Center to strengthen international cooperation in academics, research, and sustainable development.On May 28, 2026, at LC 5, International College, Maejo University, the International College officially held the MOU Signing Ceremony with ECHO Asia Impact Center. The event was attended by university administrators, faculty members, staff, and representatives from both organizations.On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rapeephun Dangtungee, Dean of the International College, Maejo University, delivered the welcome remarks and highlighted the importance of academic collaboration and international networking in supporting sustainable educational and social development.In addition, Mr. Patrick Trail shared the vision and future collaborative directions between the two organizations. Dr. Prakash Murgeppa Bhuyar also delivered a presentation on sustainable development approaches and future opportunities for knowledge exchange and joint activities.The signing ceremony marked another significant milestone in strengthening the partnership between the two institutions while promoting academic cooperation, research collaboration, capacity building, and international community engagement for a more sustainable future.
